NOVOCOMEDY SECURES NEW DISTRIBUTION DEAL
Newsflare, Redwood and Novocomedy to present new programming for MIPCOM
Paris, 23 July 2018 – Novocomedy, distributor of funny comedy shows and clips throughout the world, is pleased to announce additional distribution deals available for its clients at MIPCOM (Booth R7F6). One of the the new deals is with the highly acclaimed online community site, Newsflare, who has teamed up with California-based Redwood Media to produce funny and irreverent comedy shows that will be exclusively distributed by Novocomedy across the globe, on all platforms.
Newsflare manages the rights to over 80,000 clips with its online platform, and secures the rights of an additional 5000 clips every month. The highly sought-after content ranges from funny clips to more serious or cultural / lifestyle topics, and has been trending with millions of views on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.
Although Novocomedy is best known for distributing funny content, it is expanding its offerings with a wider range of genres. Two series will be introduced at MIPCOM and will be ready to deliver in early 2019:
- Crazy Police Dashboard (13 x 11’) deals with clips of police intervention on roads and motorways. It’s an action-reality series that’s highly sought by viewers.
- Hurricane Fury (13 x 11’) offers images shot by people all over the world about extreme weather conditions. It’s a universal theme with action packed pacing.
